A night looking for stars

A couple nights ago me and a friend of mine decided to spend a night at Freita's serra. And there we go... Packed some food, our photography equipment and left. We arrived there at 7 p.m. to explore the zone and find some spots to pass the night. Sunset nowadays is around 8:30 p.m. so we had an hour and half of light. We choose three main spots with the possibility of stop in between. So it was abou 9:00 and we were literally in the middle of nowhere high in some rocks waiting for the last sunlight goes away when we start hearing a sound like crickets but so loudly and so close that we freaked out and run away because the car had stayed a little far. So, first spot failed. The other attempt were a little better. One of them is the forth picture and we pretend to photograph the sky and the rocks so we used paint light. I must say that this was my fist experience with astrophotography so I made some mistakes and I'm aware of that but It was an attempt and worth what it worth, The other spot is the last one and I was very excited when I got there because I wanted to do some reflections but the result is never what we expect. Anyway I just wanted to share this little experience and hope to do better next time. We drove home around 4:00 a.m. and maybe we'll come back soon.
